The Korea government has announced that the number of broadband Internet users in Korea has passed 15 million for the first time:

The number of broadband Internet service subscribers in the country stood at 15.03 million as of end of April, up from last month's figure of 14.97-million, according to the Broadcasting Communications Commission.

Also, Akamai released their first State of the Internet report that ranked Korea first in the number of 5 Mbps and over broadband connections:

Akamai also observed that, from a global perspective, South Korea had the highest measured levels of "high broadband" (>5 Mbps) connectivity. In the United States, Delaware topped the list, with over 60 percent of connections to Akamai occurring at 5 Mbps or greater
