The Korean Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security recently issued a new e-government roadmap:

According to the government's plan, ubiquitous Internet technology owned by the few will penetrate into the lives of many, high-speed Internet service will help people live disaster-free lives through high-end information services and Information technology will be grafted onto many manufacturing and service industries by 2012.

A “Converging Tech Map” has been developed to guide standardization and development. Initially, neuroscience and environment?al technology were singled out.

Down the road, robotics, advanced materials, nanotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, information technology and the media will be included in the plans.
