RFID/USN Korea 2007
2007/11/03 19:14The RFID/USN Korea 2007 Conference and Exhibition wrapped up yesterday at the COEX conference center.
The two largest booths at the show were from SK Telecom and KTF which were mostly devoted to displaying their RFID enabled mobile phones for ecommerce or for information distribution (self-guided city tours, shopping mall guide, event information etc).
SK's booth had an RFID demo using a juice bar setup with mobile phones where you could order drinks (similar to their system at a local Seoul McDonald's resturant).
The rest of the exhibitions were mostly devoted to different hardware (RFID tags, antennas, readers) and middleware companies.
On a sidenote, the Seoul City Government had a booth devoted to their U-Seoul project and had someone from Samsung was demoing a media board prototype with a multi-touch interface.
