ETRI joins open source cloud computing group
2009/06/15 00:29The Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) recently joined the Open Cirrus open cloud-computing group that was founded by HP, Intel and Yahoo:
Executives from Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Yahoo are calling for developers to create an open source software standard for cloud computing. They showed their work on the effort—some of it still at a very early stage—at a gathering of researchers creating a test bed for cloud services.
ETRI will focus on research related to their existing GLORY project (Global Resource Management System For Future Internet Service). A PowerPoint presentation of the ETRI's presentation last week at the Open Cirrus Summit event is below (4.6MB):
