Intel is unveiling more details on their new Centrino Atom platform of Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs). The New York Times mentions that LG Electronics, Samsung and WiBrain will be unveiling MIDs devices at the Shanghai event.

LG Electronics has already unveiled their new device at the Consumer Electronics Show, but it's yet to be seen if Samsung and WiBrain will introduce new models or just refresh their existing UMPC devices with the new Centrino Atom processors/chipsets.

Korea will be one of the first countries along with Japan and China to get these new MIDs which will ship at the end of May or early June.

Update: There are some additional manufacturers from Korea participating in IDF: Hanbit Electronics and Yukyung Technologies. Also, Korea Telecom and SK Telecom have also announced they will support the new MIDs on their wireless networks.
