American and Japanese adult movie distributors have hired lawyers to go after Korean Internet users distributing pornographic movies (which itself is a crime):

Kim Seon-ho, a lawyer for the manufacturers, said yesterday his clients have “filed a complaint against Korean Internet users, who made financial profits by selling video clips through file-sharing Web sites, for infringing on the intellectual property rights of an American firm that manages such rights for filmmakers.”

Korean prosecutors have recently outlined how police should handle copyright infringement cases:

Under these guidelines, prosecutors are required to apply charges of violation of the Copyright Act in cases where users receive money after posting three or more videos on file sharing sites and in cases where the same offense has been committed twice or more in the past. Prosecutors also plan to charge users with the distribution of obscene materials.
