2008/03/28 21:26Another Korean wireless technology called Wireless Beacon-enabled Energy Efficient Mesh (WiBEEM) has been adopted by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the International Standards Organization (ISO):
The WiBEEM, which merges sensors and wireless communication, could be used to provide "smart parking" services, resolve the problem of wireless blackout zones in buildings as well as keep track of children and people that may need immediate medical attention over a broad area. Smart parking enables drivers to locate empty spaces in parking lots.

According to the company, an ID and password of a customer service agent was mistakenly left on a public PC. The suspect came across the ID and used it to look inside the log.
Daum said it has blocked access to the system from the outside immediately after they found out about the information leak.
