The Incheon Metropolitan City government is hosting the Global Fair & Festival 2009 exhibition at the Songdo International City from August 7 to October 25. The exhibition will feature a host of new u-City technologies that will be part of the Songdo infrastructure. There will also be a number of concurrent conferences held during the fair covering topics like radio frequency identification (RFID) and robotics.

Here’s the text from a pamphlet outlining the features of the High Tech Zone:

The word ubiquitous, meaning "present everywhere at once, or seeming to be," originates from the Latin word for ubique, meaning everywhere.
This word often appeared in the media referring to an environment where once can access a network at any time and at any place regardless of the device.

However,can this environment exist?
The Global Fair & Festival 2009 Incheon may have the answer to your question.
A futuristic street to which cutting edge technology, including ubiquitous technology is applied will be made in the main pavilion of the Global Fair & Festival 2009 Incheon (from August 7 to October 25).
The main pavilion will be created where visitors will be able to visit a futuristic street where cutting edge technology and web 2.0 are at work. Here, visitors will be able to comfortably experience the technologies of tomorrow.

The Global Fair & Festival Organizational Committee plans to provide services to add to your "futuristic" experience.

The main concern of parents in a crowded space is their children's safety.
Visitors with young children will be provided with RFID bracelets, at the entrance of the main pavilion.
These electronic bracelets can be used to keep track of your child.
Emergency services will also be offered for senior citizens and expectant mothers.

Additionally the Organization Committee plans to lend "Smart Phones" to visitors free of cost to enhance our experience.
Visitors will have access to the contents of the Global Fair & Festival, such as exhibitions and performances, today's events, tourist resorts, lodging facilities, restaurants, regional information, and location information in the palm of your hands.
The information will be available in several languages including English, Chinese, Japanese as well as Korean.

Furthermore,a guided service through the pavilion and technologies will be offered to make your visit run smoothly.
By visiting the Global Fair & Festival visitors will be able to experience virtual reality in real space.
Among the many sites and activities, visitors will be able to see fish whose movements become different according to people's responses in a digital pond, as well as scribbling on digital walls.
Robots will also be on display for people to interact with and enjoy. The Korea Robot Game Festival will take place from August 7 to 9, and FIRA Robot World Cup will be held from August 18 to 20.
